Ohai! For a change a few personal words. My name is Philipp and I started this channel almost seven years ago – you don’t know my voice but you have heard my words because I write most of our scripts.

After this covid -19 crisis gets over. We will all be greatful for simple things like going out whenever we want, meeting our friends, eating in a restaurant.

I watched this video 5 months ago and even though I've heard of the benefits of gratitude journaling I I didn't really do it but my favorite youtube channel saying hey you should try this it's good for you, I did. I've been gratitude journaling daily for about 5 months now and my mood has been better and I've become more appreciative of both the small and big things in life. At first, I started with just a couple words or just a single word for my journal entry but as days went on I've been writing more and more and am thankful for simply just being here. It's been great. I think everyone should do this. It really puts things into perspective and makes sure you never let yourself take every day for granted.

It can’t just be me who sees the lonely people in these videos and thinks “I’d be their friend!”

I think that setting a high expectation on yourself is something that drives a lot of depression in young people in modern age as well

As a human biologist, I cannot emphasize enough how much our mental health influences our body. Chronic stress, for example, directly reduces life expectancy and increases the risk of developing different types of cancer. Not only does stress negatively impact our immune system (which would normally fight off abnormal cells) but also shortens DNA sequences at the end of our chromosomes (called telomeres). If a cell loses its telomeres it might become abnormal and have a higher chance of transforming into a cancer cell. Intriguingly, the lengths of telomeres can be increased through regular meditation, sports and a healthy diet (I made a video about this a while ago!).

Happiness is a state of mind. I'm 18 and work with a 41 year old who is deaf and has debilitating mental disabilities, he lives with his mum and makes £8.33 an hour working a dead end job. Hes one of the happiest people I've ever met
